Here are a few of our requirements:
In Salisbury, a Business License is required by each vendor, attached are step-by-step directions on how to apply for your license and how to attach a Sales Tax ID. You need a this because we collect sales tax on your behalf and pay it to you, but you are required to pay it to the MD State Comptroller.
The Store’s Contract is month-to-month, and we write checks for the vendors once a month that will be available on the 3rd of the following month.
The Store has a 10% commission on cash sales, and 12% for credit card charges.
The rent is $1.50 per square foot, and a 1 month security deposit will be required before move in. The deposit will be returned as long as there is no damage to the booth and 1 month notice of moving out is given.
We do require a 4 hour ‘Floor Walking’ Shift every month. This is to help deter shoplifting and help the register worker with opening showcases and greeting guests. You may split this into two 2hour shifts if that is easier for you.
We like to keep the items in the store to a Vintage/Antique feel with some collectables, handmade, and décor items. Please discuss with the Manager if you have items that might not fit in these categories.
